No. A bruise is a collection of blood under the skin. The only thing that will get rid of it is time. The blood has to reabsorb into the body.
Get some typical brown tea (orange pekoe) bags, wet them, and put them on your bruises. Soak your bruises in these. The tannic acid in the tea will help the bruises heal a lot faster. This works for any bruises.
Cortizone is a synthetic steroid hormone. It mostly only affects the local tissues by reducing inflammation.
Taking Benadryl helps. I also rub an anti-itch cream on the hives...like Cortizone 10 or something. I like the creams better than the .ointments
any 1% cortizone cream handles it pretty well....just got back from south padre island and we all had some measure of boogie rash
try rubbing some arnica cream on it, or you can take arnica tablets to heal it internally.
If cortizone cream is not working, it is either to severe of an allergic reaction or it may be fungal in origin. You will likely require a prescription cream to treat this
