Well staphylococcus is a very hearty virus and left unchecked can cause some very severe damage. I would consider warm compresses and a good cleaning with unscented antibacterial soap at least twice a day followed by a cool water irrigation while moving the jewellery to help flush out the piercings. If the pain is severe you may just opt to go see your doctor in the event the infection has traveled or advanced too far however do not remove the jewellery, that will not help fight the infection in fact it will make a simple infection much harder to fight by not allowing the infection to drain as it can now from the piercing entry and exit points. Can you get an innie nipple pierced?
An inverted or occluded nipple piercing needs to be done by an experienced professional body piercer who knows how to properly do an inverted nipple piercing. The technique is some what different from a standard nipple piercing, skill and knowledge needs to be used in order to correct the inversion. I have done many of these "repair" piercings with the end result being a proper outward displaying nipple. The inversion is partly due to the beast connective tissue and how the ducts and nipple connective tissue seems to be too short thus causing the nipple to be inverted. So find your self a body piercer who has at least 5 years of better of actual piercing experience or be prepared to travel to have it done correctly. Knowledge of human anatomy is a must to complete this piercing properly, but trust me once it's done right and healed you will be very pleased.

Signs of an infected piercing Redness, discharge of green puss, swelling, tenderness and possible warm to the touch. The quickest way to resolve an infected piercing is to irrigate the piercing under warm running water while moving the jewellery back and forth through the piercing allowing the water to rinse the jewellery off. If you are using after care products to clean your piercing cease using all of them (this way we can find out if the aftercare product is causing the problem). Irrigating the piercing twice a day under warm water while moving the jewellery will rinse the puss and other matter out of the piercing. Once you have completed the rinsing, dry the piercing with clean tissue and leave it alone, don't apply anything else to the piercing. This should resolve and infected piercing within 24 to 48 hours.

Generally, I wouldn't, since infections could stay in the unhealed interior flesh and taking out the ring would make the outer skin heal first, essentially sealing in a big old angry ball of infected flesh. Happened to my ear piercings once and had cysts there for years afterward.

If it's infected... DON'T TAKE IT OUT! If you take it out, it will only cause the infectious bacteria to stay in your body, and it won't get rid of it. Soak your piercing in a sea salt soak for five to ten minutes and clean it two to three times a day. Once the swelling/infection has passed, and you're not please with the piercing, you can take it out. But if it's infected, leave it in!

Well if the piercing is done by a professional piercer you should have no problem with droopy nipples. Placement is basicly along the plain of the breast and as close to the areola as possible, using the correct gauge of jewellery (typically 14 gauge or 1.6 mm) the piercing will heal with little or no problems provided the afercare routeen is followed. Poorly placed nipple piercings (done by untrained individuals) will result in various problems, one of them being the dreaded "droopy nipples" among other problems that I have seen over 15 years in the industry.

If it hasnt healed over, its fine because scar tissue has formed and you arent creating a new wound.
