If blood flow is cut off to a testicle, if the blood flow is restarted within 6 hours the prognosis is excellent, with almost everyone recovering completely without any adverse side effects.

If blood flow is cut off for 6-12 hours about 30% will have to have their testicle removed.

If blood flow is cut off for 12-24 hours about 80% will have to have their testicle removed.

After 24 hours of lack of blood flow to the testicle, the loss of that testicle approaches 100%.

So in your case at 5 hours, you should be fine, but if you have any problems in the next few days you should go to a doctor to see if any permanent damage has occurred.
