You got your belly-button pierced a week ago and now after you clean it white pus comes out of it does that mean its infected and if so how can you treat it?

If pus is coming out then it is infected. Continue to clean it properly and go see your piercer. I had mine done twice and the first time around it was really bad! Now its only been four days that i got it pierced for the second time and i still have pus coming out. I went to the piercer and first he said maybe it was the meatal in the ring,the second time he said it was not the normal size ring and pierced me with a bigger ring!But i still got he same thing!!!! I am never gonna do it again if this happens the second time round!!!!!!

Your piercing is most likely just healing. You would probably know if it was infected if the area surrounding the piercing is red and inflamed. It usually hurts a little bit more to touch it also. The best thing to do is stay on top of cleaning it. Don't remove the piercing. Do a sea-salt soak twice a day using 1/4 tsp. of SEA SALT with 8oz. of warm water. Make sure NOT to use table salt, it contains sugar in it which can cause infection. While you are in the shower, clean around the piercing with Dial soap. Clean your hands before you touch it, but just try to leave it alone when not cleaning it. Try not to wear too tight fitting clothing that will irritate it, and the infection should go away.
