Def. not.. this could be an abnormal side effect.. the doc can correct this w/a hormone pill.. or they may choose for you not to stay on it.. Def.. contact the doc. i was on the depo shot for 9 months and bleed the whole time some heavy and some light but always bleed
I got the shot on May the 8th, 2009, and started spotting/bleeding the day after, and I haven't stopped ... today is May 29th, 2009! I am not going back for a second shot. This has messed up my sex life and life in general!
Depo shots are capable of changing the intervals between someone's periods. However, it is unusual to have a flow that spans a whole month without stopping. Immediately consult a physician if this is the case.
It sounds like depo isn't suiting you too well. Please go and speak to the person who usually deals with your contraception, and don't don't endure this unnecessarily.
I have been experiencing heavier bleeding and my last depro shot was just 5 weeks ago
tats prob ur periods?did u go to ur nurse r doctor and ask dem bou it?
Yes, this happened to me. It's normal.
No. Call your doctor.
it is possible that some women might bleed a little after intercourse while on the depo shot The reason why some women on depo bleed after intercourse is because the injection makes the lining of her uterus very thin and weak. by making it thinner and weaker, depo can help prevent a fertilized egg from attaching to the endometrium (uterine lining). When some women have intercourse, this disrupts it and the weak uterine lining will bleed a little. I have had experience with depo and have bled every time after intercourse when on depo. It is not your body "fighting" off pregnancy.
it is completely normal. the depo provera shot has a high amount of hormones, it can irregulate your period or it can cause u to not nave a period. it kinda sux though cause u never know when ur next period will be.
its normal for you to have hevey spotting on your first round. i bleed for nearly a month my first round.
Unscheduled bleeding or spotting is a common side effect of depo provera. It improves with time.
It is highly unlikely to get pregnant on the depo provera. And if you are worried because you have not had a period in two months that is normal for the depo shot. It is made to stop your period
yes
it is normal because i had that happen to me a couple of times while i was on the shot so its normal to have one
I also have been on the depo injection and was due to have another in November but chose not to. I have had irregular bleeding since coming off it and have also read that this is normal as its your body trying to get back into your regular menstrual cycle. If your worried I'd go and see your doctor.
you should ask your doctor
Was this your first shot? People react differently to the shot. I didn't bleed at all while I was on it and my co worker was on it and bled everyday for 3 months. By the time she got her next shot her body was used to it.
According to Pfizer.com: "Depo-Provera can affect menstrual bleeding. After a year of use, 55% of women experience amenorrhoea; after 2 years, the rate rises to 68%."Depending on how your body works it can..I bleed for a whole month after getting the shot, but haven't had a period since. I started mines in September 2011 haven't had it since October. .
