Let me tell you about my Clitorism experience. I had a clinical depression a few months ago and my GP (a male doctor) put me on Prozac at 20mg and subsequently 40mg. After two months of this sonnolence (which began to affect to much my work during the day - I work for a living!) and clitorism (made me feel terribly horny) + inability to reach an orgasm made me give up on Prozac all together. I guess I must be a very sensitive person to Prozac, and I have no intention of ever taking it again. I am single and I feel having sex 20 times a day, after two months I am not taking Prozac anymore. I can reach an orgasm now with the means of a sex device a vibrating egg, and it is very intense, however I am left asking for more.... So yes at a certain level Clitorism can give you intense orgasm, just as Prozac is sometimes prescribed to delay ejaculation in men.

The thing which is done to us women, is that Prozac is prescribed a way to improve our 'mood', not too much concern is given to our sex life, unless we are in a marriage or we show up to the GP office with a partner. The assumption being that clitoris or not we will still enjoy vaginal sex... that is not always the case in women. I need a clitoral orgasm which will leave me fully satisfied with a sex device or with a man. Feeling terribly horny (not painful) is not always a good thing unless you decide to join a swing club! (joke) Casual sex can be risky as we know it if you are single.

So I would say that clitorism is not painful -- it is just bloody frustrating. I was depressed and now I am also horny, great!!! Personally I am of the view that Prozac ruins women's sex life.
