I have an IUD also, and i had cramping for the first year but that was because it caused by cysts, which can be quite common in women at any age, they were binine, but just to be safe get a pap done. yes the pain can subside -if sex is very vigorious it can cause pain in the abdomen with the IUD especially if your monogomus and hes comming inside you it can cause hpv and pressure to build up along the walls, sometimes a good cleanse can help. cysts can be caused by-salt, fatty foods, alcohol, smoking and coffee.
