The bad news is that most likely you do not have an active milk supply. The good news is that it can be restarted without too much extraordinary work. When your child is hungry put it to your breast even if there is no milk. Only after the child gets too tired of not receiving milk should you pull out the bottle. Along with the baby suckling, use a breast pump to stimulate your milk supply. It should only be a matter a short time before you reestablish a steady milk supply. Of course, the best course of action is to seek the counsel of a lactation nurse. She will give you additional helps and encouragement. Good luck and good decision!
