meh not really

ANSWER

It depends on your opinion of high standards of education. It has a 9% acceptance rate, so it could be said to be hard to get into. I bet the last poster is a prodigy if he/she thought it was "meh, not really."

ANSWER

i agree with the person above me and i think that yes, it is hard to get into Harvard since its one of the most exclusive universities in the country but if it is something your willing to do then you must have a 4.0 average and major in something you know its different, because the people at Harvard is always seeking out diversity, and on your essay be shure to mention the unique things about yourself.

ANSWER The whole 4.0 thing doesn't always quailify, not saying that its not an important contribution but SAT scores etc. are the big deal. My father got accepted without even applying, AND having an extremly low GPA, from not doing his homework etc., but he had an extremly high SAT score, something like top 5% if I remember right. If your not blessed with being extremly smart, then I believe it is a lot of very rigourous hard work.

so YES it is very HARD!

I have researched over Harvard med. and have come to realize that my dream of becoming a doctor might come true but not with a PHD from Harvard because not only do they check for GPA but also you need to have about 20,000 community service hours in total to have a oppurtunitie to get accepted. I have a friend that his sister supposibly got a nearly perfect score on the test and was not offered to go to Harvard even though she applied many times, but his father got a perfect score and then that was when they offered him the chance to become an enginer and he was allowed to see the particle accelerator that i hope once to see.
