There is no set amount of alcohol you must buy in a day in order to be an alcoholic. Before i got sober, i drank roughly a fifth a day. Some days more, some days less. Before i knew any better, i believed that if you don't drink daily, then you aren't an alcoholic. As i started to get my feet wet in AA, i learned that my beliefs on what makes a person an alcoholic are absolutely FALSE. At one of the first meetings I went to, a recovering alcoholic with several decades of sobriety under his belt told me ''An alcoholics can never predict when he/she is going to drink, where he/she is going to drink, how much he/she is going to drink, or where they are going to end up after they drink. Even if you drink only a handful of times a year, if you can't predict when, where, or how much you are going to drink that night, then it's possible that you may be an alcoholic. It's not how much you drink, but what happens to you when you do. If you're wondering if you could possibly have Alcoholism, look up behaviors and symptoms of alcoholism in the search option.

Beer
Beer, without question. It is easiest to make of all alcoholic beverages, and is drunk worldwide. Unless of course, you count water.
The Guinness World Record for most beers consumed in one day by one person is held by Andre Drechsler, who drank 237.6 liters (around 63 gallons) of beer on August 4, 2007. This feat took place during a beer festival in Germany.
