Yes, you can request a refund from an attorney. Most attorneys will not give you a full refund, but may give you a partial refund. If some of the money was for filing fees, you won't be entitled to receive those back.
Problems can arise when a physician begins to reduce his or her fee. Patients may begin to expect fees to be reduced in all circumstances.

Lack of conception makes people to think that with having medical insurance, monthly cost of prescription drugs will be met by Insurance Cos. Medical insurance is only for treatment, not for any test or medical check ups. However, if a person undergoes continuous treatment, after he becomes fit he can claim for reimbursement for expenses of hospitalization, plus prescribed drugs, Doctor's fees for pre hospitalization - 30 days and post hospitalization - 60 days along with Fitness certificate provided by the Doctor.
Laws vary from state to state. However, I don't know of anywhere that it is illegal, but it is very irresponsible. If a passenger is in the car when the driver is pulled over for driving without a licence, the passenger may be ticketed or jailed, depending on the state, and the passenger would more than likely get a ride home and nothing more. If you know that the driver of a vehicle is not licensed by the state, you should not ride with that driver. If you are in a car accident, the driver cannot be insured if they are unlicensed, and you could be liable for your hospitalization, ambulance and physician's fees.
The doctor's charges and the copay are separate fees, of course. With that, even if the charges are less than the copay, the physician still collects the patient's copay. At anytime, the physician can waive, then write-off, the copay, but I wouldn't advise this.
There are too many variables to be able to get an exact number, such as if one or both lungs are being transplanted, if there are any complications, how long the patient is in the hospital, etc. A rough estimate would be between $150,000 and $300,000 for everything involved (hospitalization, obtaining a new lung, surgical costs, physician fees, medications, and so on). Hope this helps! Dr. B.
