The mass movement of a group of people out of a country is known as emigration. It occurs when individuals leave their home country to settle in another. This movement can be influenced by various factors such as economic opportunities, political instability, or seeking a better quality of life.
People from THE Netherlands did settle in New Netherlands, but they felt more at home in the Netherlands because its just such an awesome country. And they went bankrupt.
