These rooms are designed to provide a comfortable and safe environment for patients to receive medical care and treatment. A room in a hospital is referred to as just that, "a room". These rooms may be private in that they are occupied by one person or shared by a small number of people. The term "ward" is used to describe a hospital area shared by a large number of people, especially in a public hospital.Further Information:The word you are looking for IS 'ward'.

They use several systems. One called Allscripts (a4) for their patient charts and maintenance. Then they use PBAR for their database system. PBAR is now being phased out for a new system called Patient Access. I don't know if the entire hospital uses these, but this is what they use in the emergency room. Hope this helps.
