What is difference between government hospital and private hospitals?

1.Public hospitals are funded by the government and therefore cannot turn away patients.

1.Private hospitals are privately funded and make their own rules. These are the hospitals that turn away homeless and uninsured patients, as the government doesn't regulate them.

2.1. Private Hospitals are expensive then Public Hospitals.

2. Public Hospitals are generally crowded and service somewhat questionable. Private Hospitals give better service.

3. Public Hospitals are owned by Governments . Public Hospitals are owned by Entrepreneurs/Businessmen and also by some Trusts.

4. Some Private Hospitals have more advanced facilities. But some Public Hospitals like AIIMS are also world class but overcrowded.

5. Public Hospitals have no eye on profit making. Government gives them funds to run. These are for the welfare of the common people. Private Hospitals are business oriented.

In the US, a Government Hospital is managed by a branch of the US Government, be it at the State or Federal level.

A nonprofit hospital can be owned or managed by pretty much anyone who isn't a government entity, as long as the net profit at the end of the year is zero. This theoretically means that all "profit" is recycled into the organization, or profit is reduced in order to lower charges. In reality, it simply means that the books at the end of the year need to balance to zero.

Most private hospitals are run by individual companies, institutions and even families. Many are specialized and cater to wealthy patients. Corporate hospitals are for profit and owned by whole corporations or multi-national conglomerates which own many hospitals. These include their hospitals, salaried physicians, nurses, their own laboratories, rehab facilities and even umbrella health care systems. there are, of course, municipal and university hospitals that are not supposed to make a profit. University hospitals have the reputation of charging much higher rates to patients than corporate facilities. this is because of the lack of regulations that might apply to them. Because many of them are teaching hospitals the patients have a greater chance of being cared for by new interns and junior residents that do not have great experience in the practice of medicine. A corporate hospital will not usually take a physician unless he or she either has an established specialty or has been a hospital physician for at least five years and has completed all phases of medical experience. Rated for comfort, food and care I put private hospitals first, corporate second and university third.
