I don't think he had knee surgery. Dr. Stanley injured his knee in late 2009, early 2010 and the doctor asked him to keep the pressure off of it, which is why he began preaching sitting down. I recall that he said that so many people reported liking the format so much-they felt it was much more personal-that he just continued the new format far after his knee was healed.
Hope that helps!
Is Dr. Stanley Ill? We notice that he sits much of the time now and we were concerned about his health. Dr. Stanley had knee surgery and he must rest his knee often according to doctor's orders. So he sits often even while preaching.
He had knee surgery and needs to rest his knee when speaking so he has been sitting a lot lately.
