I have been missing the knuckles on my ring fingers since birth and this has not affected me at all. A doctor suggested that I get prosthetic knuckles when I was in high school but there was no point since I have never noticed a significant issue or problem from my lack of knuckles. The only issues I have are cosmetic as I cannot wear rings on my fingers and the ring finger is significantly shorter than the middle finger.
