ack! try a warm compress. Don't use steroid drops in anyone's eyes unless they're specifically prescribed for that patient for that purpose.
Kittens can have polymyxin B sulfate eye drops. However, it is not recommended that these drops be given without first speaking to your veterinarian who will take things like the kitten's age and allergy history into consideration.

No, Falcon Polymyxin B Sulfate and Trimethoprim Ophthalmic Solution is an antibiotic eye drop used to treat bacterial infections. For dry, itchy eyes, artificial tears or lubricating eye drops would be more appropriate.
Yes..... in severe cases of conjunctivitis (also known as eye flu and pink eye) doctors use eye drops containing dexamethasone (an anti-inflammatory steroid) to reduce the swelling & congestion. However, this medicine should be used only under the direction of a physician and with close monitoring.
Usually one would use Tobramycin eye drops for 7 days to treat external eye infections. Please make sure that you use the eye drops for the duration prescribed even if you are feeling better. If after this time the infection still persists, please make an appointment to consult with your GP.
Therapywith this product should be limited to 10 consecutive days. The external auditory canal should be thoroughly cleansed and dried with a sterile cotton applicator. For adults, 4 drops of the suspension should be instilled into the affected ear 3 or 4 times daily. For infants and children, 3 drops are suggested because of the smaller capacity of the ear canal. The patient should lie with the affected ear upward and then the drops should be instilled. This position should be maintained for 5 minutes to facilitate penetration of the drops into the ear canal. Repeat, if necessary, for the opposite ear.If preferred, a cotton wick may be inserted into the canal and then the cotton may be saturated with the suspension. This wick should be kept moist by adding further suspension every 4 hours. The wick should be replaced at least once every 24 hours.SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING.
Yes. Any eye prescription eye drop can be used for ear drop if your doctor indicates that is what they want you to do with it. Usually in conjunction with an oral antibiotic and typically for an outer ear infection.
I'm thinking NOT dangerous because they have ciprofloxacin ear drops but they contain a steroid-dexamethasone. However, those ear drops are very expensive, so if you have cipro eye drops... it's basically the same thing, but without steroids. You will need to consult your doctor tho because he will want you to take an anti-inflammatory for the pain or give you separate drops. BTW- whoever answered this question before me is a complete idiot.
My 7 year old son claims that it hurts. But the sensation passes quickly. Although I'm no doctor, the pharmacist says not to refrigerate it... and administering the drops at room temperature should less the discomfort. Can't do anything about the mild burning sensation due to the sulfate.
Sulphatriad is a combination antibiotic medication containing sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim, and polymyxin B. It is often used to treat bacterial infections, especially in cases where multiple organisms are involved or when the infection is resistant to other antibiotics. It works by inhibiting bacterial growth and is typically used topically, such as in eye drops or ointments.
