I can't find anything online to definitively answer this question, but this was my experienc last night: I took a Zicam before bed, then about twenty minutes later took two Benadry. I woke up hot and cold and twitchy. Then I threw up a ton and felt a lot better. Not sure how much of this was the combo of the medicine or some mystery ailment, but my stomach hasn't bothered me since last night, so I'm inclined to think it has something to do with the medicine I took.

Yes. You can take them at the same time. They are both antihistamines, but Allegra is a long-acting antihistamine and Benadryl is a short-acting antihistamine. Fexofenadine is Allegra. I have been given both at the same time to treat a severe sinus infection. You may get very drowsy or run down. But you will be ok. Because of this, it is recommended that Allegra be taken in the morning on a regular schedule and Benadryl be taken at night when needed to help with sleep issues due to allergies.
While Benadryl or diphenhydramine can be used safely for dogs, if proper dosage is carefully applied, diphenhydramine is not an anticonvulsant, and as such will likely not work for this application. In short, not deadly; not effective either.
Benadrylcontainsas diphenhydramine which possesses anticholinergic, antitussive, antiemetic, and sedative properties. The drug has a strong hypnotic effect and is FDA-approved as a non-prescription sleep aid, especially in the form of diphenhydramine citrate. While it would be possible to use Benadryl in the production of methamphetamine; Benadryl is more commonly abused in its native form as opposed to being used as a precursor in the manufacture of other drugs.
