That is not a typical reaction or side effect of this medication. However, if you have other condtions such as Diabetes or peri-menopause these may need to be considered. Also, are you being treated for depression alone or in concert with anxiety disorder. If this has happened more than once since you started the medication, see your doctor. Be sure to describe differences in stress levels, sleep and diet around this same time.

∙ 15y agoI am waiting for period #2 to arrive since I've been on Zoloft. I am usually pretty regular and for some reason missed my last period and am 3 days late right now (Sat Aug 16th). I don't think I am pregnant (took 2 tests and have two kids already) because I would know the signs. I am starting to think that the Zoloft is affecting my cycle.

∙ 13y agoIt's not a common side effect, but it did happen infrequently in premarketing clinical trials. If you are at risk for pregnancy, please take a pregnancy test to make sure that's not the cause. Increased stress can also affect your menstrual cycle.
