There is no reason to worry about taking the cold and sinus medication, but how much does your 11-year old weigh? At this stage in development, many 11-year olds can handle adult dosages, but please check with the pediatrician first.
NO! Never give your child your medication - it is too strong for them and might even kill them.
You can mix the two because they are not the same medication. However I would not take anything else with acetaminophen (AKA Tylenol) such as NyQuil or Neoproxin (AKA Motrin) You should always consult a doctor before you do anything with medication.
Bien fack no
Presumably you did not give the medication to your child, so there is no harm done. You can call the board of medicine and the board of pharmacy to report.
There are a few different types of Tylenol that can be used for a child 3 years of age. There is Tylenol Liquid that is used for things such as fever, earaches and immunizations. There is also a Tylenol product called Children's Tylenol for Cold and Flu which one could use in those situations.

Before administering any modified dose of medication to a child always consult with the child's pediatrician.Consult a pediatrician before administering any dose of medication for a child that does not match the prescribed dose.
The mother asked the doctor, "What dose of Tylenol does my child need?" Does John know the regular dose of that drug? How does a layperson know the dose of a drug unless he or she receives instructions? What does a nurse know about medication doses?
It depends on the age of the child. Tylenol (Acteaminophen) + Benedryl (Diphenhydramine) is the same thing as Tylenol PM. Tylenol is not recommended to be used on children under the age of 12. Consult with your child's primary care physician before giving them adult strength Tylenol.
