According to the website drugs.com (see the Related Link below) there is no known interaction between amoxicillin and low-strength aspirin (over-the-counter aspirin like Bayer). But their website also says, "However, this does not necessarily mean that no interactions exist. ALWAYS consult with your doctor or pharmacist." What they seem to be saying is, "No, there's no interaction for most people, but if you should happen to have one and end up dead, you can't sue us for telling you there's not."

can advil and amoxicillin be taken together
If you are referring to just regular Advil and regular prescription Amoxicillin, yes, it is okay to take them together.

However, just remember that Advil (ibuprofen) can cause stomach upset for some people.

And Amoxicillin as well (as with most antibiotics) can also cause stomach issues.

A good idea to prevent intestinal problems (gas, diarrhea, etc) while taking any prescription antibiotic is to eat a container of yogurt every day for as long as you are you are taking the antibiotic. And maybe a few days after, just for good measure.

Antibiotics kill all the bacteria in the targeted areas of the body, including the good bacteria in the intestinal tract which keep your intestines in check.

Eating the yogurt will replenish the good bacteria that the antibiotics kill off, thus preventing you from having any real major "stomach issues" while you're taking it.

amoxicillin and aspirin can be taken together. . . . amoxicillin is a popular anti biotic used for treating various infections it is prescribed in doses of 250mgs or 500mgs depending on severity of infection. aspirin is an anti coagulant (reduces thickness of blood, commonly prescribed to elderly or stroke sufferers) mostly prescribed at 75mg once daily but doseage cen be as high as 300mg once daily, again depending on users medical history. contraindictions regarding any anti biotic would be a female taking any form of contraception as it reduces the effect so condoms should be used. hope this helps. . . . contact your prescriber or pharmasist for confirmation . .
