Can you take Vyvanse and codeine together?

There are no recorded interactions between the two drugs. According to Drugs.com, "No results found - however, this does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. ALWAYS consult with your doctor or pharmacist." From personal experience, I have been prescribed both by the same doctor. Yes technically Vyvanse is a stimulant and Codeine is a CNS depressant...however, both of these are pro-drugs, which means that the active ingredient is not effective until it is metabolized by the liver. Vyvanse releases amphetamine once it is metabolized and Codeine is converted into Morphine once metabolized. As long as you are taking the recommended dosages and are prescribed both by the same doctor or doctors that are aware of each other, you will be good. If your intention is to abuse the two together, there is a chance that you might feel a mild "speedball" effect, which is simply a euphoric feeling one gets from mixing an opiate with a stimulant. This can be dangerous, however it is basically an EXTREMELY mild version of the effects produced when Heroin is mixed with Meth or Cocaine...which people do all the time and do not die from, but some HAVE...so if it's recreational use you are asking for...use at your own risk, but be at least be aware of the way the drugs work with the body...hopefully I provided you enough insight to do just that.

I'm about to try it I'll keep you posted my friend did 40mg vyvanse and 5-10mg codeine w tylenol.just go slow with it like just do very little of both and keep doing so until desired effects . It's risky mixing pills so be careful and try not to over due it
