You may want to ask your doctor this question but nowhere have I read or been told that depression/anxiety meds and diet pills decrease the effectiveness of the depo shot. If you told your doctor you were taking those meds, I am sure he/she wouldn't have suggested the depo shot if it was known effectiveness would decrease. That is why it is good to get contraceptives from a doctor because they know your medical history and know exactly what is best for you.
