Does benfotiamine have any bad side effects?

I started about 2 weeks ago and been having periods of dizziness and increased fatigue. I have stopped taking and will restart at a redused dose. I also began an increased dose of neurotin at the same time and have cut back on that as well. Not good to start 2 things at the same time as you dont know which is causing the side effects. I have to admit that my pain level has improved by about 50% since I started. Gary

Benfotiamine is normally safe if you consume it according to the recommended dosage.

There are a few undesirable but mostly mild side effects to be aware of. When a significant side effect does occur, which is extremely unusual, you should stop taking the supplement right once and get medical help. Despite reams of research, there are few studies describing how thiamine and benfotiamine supplements interact with one another (x, x).

Supplements containing thiamine and benfotiamine are typically safe when consumed orally in small dosages. In a doctor's office, they can also be administered by IV safely. The supplement may not adequately enter the body in patients who already have liver issues or who consume excessive amounts of alcohol.
