It is common belief within the medical field that marijuana will worsen the Bipolar disorder. There are those who swear that the weed has helped them A LOT and then you have those within the medical field who laugh at these people. The sad truth is this, not enough research has been done and most doctors, less you find a very experimental one, would most likely not prescribe you medical marijuana. However, I am bipolar and I used to smoke it on a regular basis and I really thought that it helped me. My anxiety would literally vanish and my mania was pretty much non-exsistent. HOWEVER, I also was under the impresion it was making the depression side of my bipolar disorder worse. I say self medicate yourself at your own risk. I am on invega and wellbutrin and feel better than I have in years. I say stick with what is proven to work rather than something that is a big mystery.
in my other personal studies not only has medical marijuana shown decreases in my weight, anxiety, cholesterol, andhunger. as though eating medical marijuana has proven more efficient.Anything can be used as an excuse for illegally smoking marijuana. There are a few studies related to marijuana and bi-polar conditions, but I am not aware of anything conclusive that has been published.
No, because medicinal marijuana is prescribed only for cases of terminal pain (i.e. with cancer). Marijuana doesn't alleviate any symptoms of Bipolar disorder or Schizophrenia.
will focus factor help with bipolar
No; bipolar is a very complex condition that needs constant tweaking of medication to control (but it is controllable). Marijuana is really pretty much the last thing a person with bipolar needs to add to the mix.take it from me i have lived with bi polar disorder for a few years and in my experience it has helped with my symptoms and doesn't make me feel zombie ish from meds
There is no specific bipolar diet. Nevertheless, it is important to make wise dietary choices that will help you maintain a healthy weight and stay well.Check out http://www.webmd.com/bipolar-disorder/guide/bipolar-diet-foods-to-avoid for more information.
They are usually some form of upper and I would think that would not help a bipolar person stay on task. Plus, it might interfere with the meds needed to help the bipolar condition.
I would not suggest it if you could get one. First of all marijuana does have an effect on short term memory which is essential to attention. if you already smoke just try doing some algebra or calculus and see what the results are. Sure it might mellow out your bipolar disorder however it effects everyone differently
Some alternative medications for bipolar disorder include anticonvulsants (such as valproate, lamotrigine) and atypical antipsychotics (such as olanzapine, quetiapine). These medications can help stabilize mood swings in individuals with bipolar disorder and may be used if lithium is not effective or tolerated. It is important to work closely with a healthcare provider to determine the best treatment option for each individual.
Persons with bipolar disorder need to receive help from mental health professionals, possibly including regular medication to regulate mood swings.
what do you mean???
I hope you meant "cure." Bipolar disorder is incurable, but, however, there are medications that do help control many of the symptoms.
