During the first 24-48 hours you may use neosporin. After 24-48 hours you would want to keep the stiches dry. Keeping them moist might not allow the wound to heal, or worse, open the wound back up.
It's also best not to cover the wound (again after 24-48 hours have passed). Unless your going to be in a situation where dirt/debris may enter the wound, like going to the beach. In this case cover the wound only for the time it is at risk of being exposed to dirt.

To open a coffee bag, simply locate the top of the bag where it is sealed shut. Use your fingers or a pair of scissors to cut along the seal, making sure not to tear the bag. Once the seal is cut, you can easily open the bag and access the coffee inside.
Neosporin is safe to use in dogs in small amounts, rubbed in well for small scrapes and scratches, but it would be recommended if the cut does not heal by it's self, to take him to the vet.
To effectively seal ribbon ends using a lighter, carefully run the flame along the cut edge of the ribbon to melt and seal the fibers. Be cautious not to burn the ribbon or yourself.
