Xanax (alprazolam) and Klonopin (clonazepam) are both benzodiazepines, but they are different medications with distinct chemical structures. In a lab test, they can be distinguished from one another, as each has a specific metabolic profile. Standard drug tests typically screen for benzodiazepines as a class, but more detailed tests can differentiate between specific substances like Xanax and Klonopin. Therefore, while they may show up as benzodiazepines, they can be identified separately in a comprehensive analysis.
My experience is that Klonopin will show up as Klonopin and Xanax as Xanax. Urine testing has become very specific (through urine testing too) and will be is able to tell the difference between the two Benzos.
Will lorazepam and klonopin show up differently on a lab drug test you get prescribed klonopin and a friend gave you ativan and you need to know if a lab can tell the difference between the two?
no- on a standard dip stick test or tippy cup test it will show up as xanax...However, if you have the urine sample sent to a lab, it will show up as benzoziazepine...
In regular drug-test for jobs or at home drug test it will show up as a benzodiazepine, BUT if you are on probation or its an extended drug test and they send it into a lab they can tell the difference between the chemical makeup of the drug xanax is alprazolam and ativan is lorazepam. so basically if your urine gets sent to a lab then you will fail. oh and also xanax can show up as a false positive for oxazepam it happend to me recently
Absolutely. Drug screens test for "benzodiazepines", not specific types or brands. Klonopin is a benzo and will trigger a positive result. It has a longer half-life in relation to Xanax so it will stay in your system longer than Xanies, and it will defiantly test positive. Drink a gallon of water, take a couple of B-12 vitamins and you may be able to skate by...if it's an issue specifically related to Xanax the only thing you can do is send the urine to a lab and they can definitively prove which drug is in your system. I'm not on a soap box. This advice is coming from personal experience
i take valum and xanax will thay no the diffrents in urine test
Generally its possible for lab to tell the difference between , but most tests look more for benzodiazepines like grope/class . This class includes alprazolam (Xanax), lorazepam (Ativan), diazepam (Valium), clonazepam (Klonopin) and others.
what can i take to show the same as dilaudid on a lab test
they both fall under the category "benzodiazepines" which is a category on most drug tests, but a lab can easily figure out what drug triggered the benzodiazepine reaction. most drug test will be testing for the ingredients of the benzodiazepines, not the drug it came from. a much more advance and expensive test would be required to determine if it came from xanax, koltipin or Valium because they are all benzodiazepines. This came from a doctor.
It depends, If you are taking a 5 or 10 panel drug test then no it wont BUT if your drug test get sent in to a lab then yes they will be able to tell the difference between the two and they will call your probation officer if your on probation and you'll get a violation.
D. A test that is made and used by the same lab
Yes
