As long as your son is under the age of 18 and you are his parent/legal guardian, you have the right to give his medication, surreptitiously, if need be. Over the age of eighteen, (or if emancipated at age 17) you would no longer be able to do this - unless he cannot care for himself and you are still his legal guardian.
