Carisoprodol is metabolized in the liver primarily by the enzyme CYP2C19, where it is converted into meprobamate, an older muscle relaxant and tranquilizer. This metabolic process contributes to the sedative effects of carisoprodol, as meprobamate is known for its anxiolytic and muscle-relaxing properties. Consequently, the potential for addiction arises due to the euphoric and calming effects associated with meprobamate, making carisoprodol potentially habit-forming as well.
Yeah, Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxer that works by blocking pain sensations between the nerves and the brain. Soma Carisoprodol is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat injuries and other painful musculoskeletal conditions.
Ativan is a tranquilizer. It does relax you, but it is not the best choice for slowing your heart rate - mostly because it is so addictive.
Clonidine.. like, the candy? I don't know, it isn't a drug, is it?
relax your muscles or dampen the nerve impulses in your body to alleviate pain, although be cautious because many tranquilizers are addictive and no one should operate machinery (cars included) under the influence of one.
Its hard to say because everyone is differnt, however; I do think you are going to have a lot of trouble sleeping once you are taken off this because of the mild tranquilizer found in lorazepam.
No.. Oxycodone is an opiate derivative (more properly termed 'opioid'). Oxycodone is in the same chemical class as Morphine, Codeine, Heroin(diacetylmorphine), and hundreds of others. These drugs bind to opiate receptors in the brain, and the intestinal tract, depressing respiration, relieving feelings of pain, and usually give off a feeling of euphoria or well-being. Opiates, obviously, are highly addictive, and stopping opiate use can cause horrible physical withdrawal symptoms. Carisoprodol is the active ingredient in the medication Soma, and works as a centrally-acting skeletal muscle-relaxant. It shares no chemical relation to the opiates (Oxycodone), and works at completely different binding sites in the body. Carisoprodol has, however, been shown to potentiate opiates. Meaning that if a person were taking oxycodone AND Carisoprodol, the effects of the oxycodone would be stronger. But, in short.. Soma contains Carisoprodol, and is in no way related to the opiates. Hope this helps.. Take Care, -J. Mendrola
Carisprodol (Soma) is not usually part of a drug test panel, but there are tests that will detect it. It is unlikely that it would be included in an over-the-counter test. Soma is metabolized into meprobamate, a central nervous system depressant, and it can be addictive. It should not be taken with other depressant drugs such as alcohol.
Always addictive.
A white round pill with dan on one side and the numbers 5513 on the other side is a generic carisoprodol pill that is 350 mg. It is a mild muscle relaxer to help with spasms, muscle pain and seizure disorders.
it is addictive!
Sugar is not addictive.
very addictive
