In order to have the best protection against possible pregnancy, one has to take all the pills as they were prescribed - beginning on the date that was on the label, not five days later. If you had to miss several days dosage, then you also need to take extra precautions against getting pregnant, including totally abstaining from and and all sexual activity until the next month.

You are taking the pills, we presume, to help prevent pregnancy ... well, now you need to take that extra step because of the forgotten doses to further help prevent pregnancy.

Your chances are very good if you've had unprotected sex. Birth control pills only work if you take them regularly every day. If you are now taking them at an inconvenient time, you need to reschedule your routine.
