When it comes to medications like roxicodone, oxycodone (same thing, roxi is brand name), hydrocodne etc the length of time in system varies upon the persons metabolism.
However, a good rule of thumb is about 3-4 days to be completely out of your system for the purpose of urine analyst.
If you are wondering about how long the 'effects' of the drug last - again depends on the person and metabolism - but the average time the effect of the drug last is anywhere between 4-8 hours.
This class of medication, especially the instant release oxycodones such as Roxicodone 15, 30 etc are especially addictive and should be used exactly as prescribed.
One of the reasons this drug is so addictive in nature is how fast the effects come on and the euphoric feeling goes away faster than the medication works on the pain. In other words, you may not 'feel' the drug working - even though it still is working on the pain. The euphoric feeling may be gone.
This also makes it rather dangerous as people do tend to abuse this medication more so than others and it is more addictive than the "Extended Release" Oxycontin - despite it's bad name, is no where near as addictive if and only IF taken exactly as prescribed.
I am *NOT* a doctor or a pharmacist and not attempting to portray myself as one. However, I do have extensive knowledge of short and long term pain medications as well as many others through years of research.
