How long does Valium show up in urine screen?

I took (3) 10mg Valium on Wed at about 5pm. I had a urine test on Wed, 1 week, exactly 7 days, at 9am. The test came back positive for benzodiazepines. Valium can remain detectable in urine for up to 14 days. Water of course helps with any drug in your system but the body is very slow at clearing Valium from the system.

I took 59 Valiums in two days and drank 4 gallons of water before a drug test and passed it just three days later

About 13 days to be safe. Valium does not clear the system the way other drugs do. I definitely know that Valium will show up after 7 days, definitely. If you are being drug tested, definitely do not use Valium unless you have a prescription. The only way out of it, especially if you are on probation, is to go to the hospital and tell them you feel like you are having a heart attack. Tell them you have not been sleeping and that your chest hurts. Tell them that you are also under an enormous amount of stress. They will usually prescribe a 20 day benzodiazepine medication. If your PO tells you that you came back positive, you can tell him that you have a prescription. Do not tell him when you got the prescription or how long you have had it. That is confidential health information.

Valium's effects begin its medically intended effects about 5 minutes after a dose is taken. So, I would say that 5 minutes after it's taken, it will be the bloodstream beginning at that time.

Most drugs -- with the notable exception of marijuana -- take only a few days to leave your system, anyway. Valium should be out of your system in 3 days. If you are an extremely heavy user, it could potentially take up to a week, though.

If you can't stop using drugs for just a few days to pass a test, then clearly you are an addict, and you should not be looking for a job, anyway. You should be in treatment.
