Actually no it isn't even as close as long as pot. Xanax is a short term benzo so every where I've looked online (well the legit responses says 24-72 hours) The guy saying it's like pot, well valium or klonopin those are longer acting, slower release and they will stay in your system longer, not for sure how long tho.

ANYWAYS I had a urine drug screen yesterday (Monday) and I had taken about 2 to 3 or 4 mg (it ranged each day) of xanax the previous week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then Saturday night after work around 10 pm. I also got completely drunk after taking them Saturday night. So turns out I got called in for my random test Monday so I started out the day and drank as much water as I could, I bought some multivitamins so my urine wouldn't look like water (take those at least 2 hours before so they can get through your system) and then I drank about a liter or 2 of cranberry juice, and a 5 hour energy. Safe to say I passed (I did feel sick for the rest of the day from injesting all of that crap so fast). I just wanted to post this somewhere online because I read so much crap yesterday that wasn't accurate and it was making me freak out. I am not super skinny, about 5'4'' and 120 lbs and I still got multiple days worth of xanax out of my system in 44 hours (I did the math)

One thing though I also think that drinking a good amount of alcohol (like a 12 pack and a pint) also helped flush my system out faster. So anyone freaking out I hope you come across this and know that it's possible :)

Do you mean 2.5mg? or maybe 0.25mg? 25 mg is a fair amount of Xanax ... thats like nearly 13 bars ...

Like all Benzos it depends on body weight, exercise, fluid and food intake ... the list goes on and on ... id say on average up to 4 days.

I can also tell you from experience if you drink vasts amounts of water before a drug screening, and I mean 1/2 galllon of water every 30 mins or so, you can pass a drug screen. Although, let me tell you, there is a little sight window on the drug screen cups that tests for the amount of water in your urine, every-time I have done this to pass a test I have only JUST scraped into the color label that tells the drug tester if excessive water has been taken before a test.

In my line of work I get randomly tested quite often so I have had alot of practice at dogging urine tests.

I must worn you though, im not sure how everyone else's body may process water, but after I drink about 1/2 gallon of water in under 10 minutes, I urinate once every 10 - 15 mins and its completely clear, and I continue to intake 1/2 gallon of water every 30 - 60 mins until my test. (I normally start doing this 2 hours before testing) You can die from excessive water intake, so get to know your body first.

me personally, it took about a day. i had taken a bit more than that on a Saturday (probably 2 1/2 times that worth of peaches) and was fine for a drug test on monday. i don't, however, use them that often, so if u only took that one mg and its an alien substance to your body, than not to long at all. water helps, just drink a couple bottle throughout the day. im no doctor or scientist, but im sure that your metabolism has something to do with it. ive heard something like a few weeks before, but that was never the case for me. im 6' tall and weigh 170 pounds.
