You do not say if this is for treatment of TB , other infection, or prophylactically. You must consult your doctor. There are a multitude of drug interactions and food restictions. Be very careful to report everything to your doctor , and follow directions, including dosage times , VERY carefully.

Whether or not you should take isoniazid depends a lot on your situation. If you have ever had liver issues, have diabetes, are over 30ish (i think) then isoniazid may not be appropriate for you. If you do take isoniazid, make sure to have blood work done monthly to check liver enzymes. I'm not a doctor, so perhaps discuss it with your doctor, but a doc once told me that you have to weigh the risks of either. It's up to you, possible TB or possible liver issues.
