How long after taking Suboxone can you take clonazepam?
Clonazepam is not an opiate, so you can take it even if you're already on Suboxone. A few years ago I was prescribed clonazepam, on top of my regular dose of Suboxone. Just don't take more than a normal dose of either drug: as they are both depressants, there is a risk of overdose if you take too much.

Because of the nature of Buprenorphine, it is not a good idea to take it with other opiate pain medicine, because it blocks as well as stimulates different opiate receptors and can reduce their effects. Suboxone, one brand of Buprenorphine, is formulated with Naloxone (Narcan). It is a very powerful opiate "blocker" BUT in this case is only added to the formulation to prevent IV use of the drug, as the Naloxone is destroyed by stomach acids. Keeping all this in mind as soon as the opiate receptors are sufficiently clear of the Suboxone, other narcotic pain meds can be used to control your pain. How fast this happens depends on your Suboxone dosage as well how long you were on it, but after 48 hours you should start seeing an improvement in the effectiveness of your pain medication. This of course depends on what drug you are now prescribed, and if you were taking the Suboxone for pain control or opiate dependency maintenance. Not that I recommend it as you are at higher risk for overdose.. but it mostly depends on your dose of Suboxone. There is lots of misinformation about suboxone/subutex/buprenorphine which is equally bad AND good ("if you use another opiate you will DIE" has been claimed by doctors, this is seen as a deterrent but can also be abused when people find out it is not true and assume that they can just do their regular opiate doses and be fine) Bupe tends to have a significant, but varying among individuals, blocking effect of opiates in doses HIGHER than around 2mg. If you take less than 2mg you should be able to feel near, if not full, effects of heroin within hours. But if you are on suboxone, you should really be rethinking your desire to use heroin in the first place.. I'm just saying...

Suboxone does not show up in the average 5 or 7 panel test. It is not an opiate like heroin or oxy contin. Whoever is testing you would have to ruun a test specifically testing for suboxone for it to come up.

For starters, I wouldn't advise that an opiate addict take prescription pain medication while trying to get off of other opiates using Suboxone. Suboxone is used for opiate dependence and addiction, and should be used as part of an enitre recovery plan. With that being said, it should be fine taking the Norco after that much time has elapsed just as long as you take the Norco AFTER the Suboxone and not before. Taking Norco before can cause full blown precipitate withdrawls, and an individual should wait to take Suboxone until they are starting to withdrawl from the other opiates. Again, I advise that any individual on Suboxone should stay on it, so that they do not screw up their chances of recovering. You can do it!

suboxone attaches itself to the opiod receptors and actually have a long halflife (meaning they stay in the system for a while) and what it will do is you pretty much are wasting your money on anything opiate wise because since something from the suboxone is already attached to your opiate receptors nothing else can attach themselves to them. This also causes someone that already has opiates in their system to pretty much go into full withdraws within minutes, because the suboxone wipes off your opiate receptors.
Is it safe to take Claritin while on suboxone?
No it is a very bad idea to do this. There are two man drugs in suboxone, they are bupamorphine Buprenorphine and Naltrexone Naloxone. The bupamorphine Buprenorphine is in the opiate family and binds to your opiate receptors which prevents withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Also since bupamorphine Buprenorphine saturates your opiate receptors any other opiates you take will not have any effect and you will not feel it at all, so its just a waste of money. Naltrexone Naloxone is a drug that make it impossible to shoot up suboxone and also will make you VERY sick if other opiates are taken on top of it. If you take any kind of opiate with suboxone the naltrexone Naloxone will send you in to VERY painful withdrawal. Do not do this, you might end up in the emergency room as well. If you are going to take opiates wait at least 3 days after you have taken suboxone if you want to actually feel the opiate because it takes that long for the suboxone to get out of your system.You will not get sick if you are already stabilized on suboxone. If you are taking suboxone daily and you take any opiate on top of it, it will not make you sick. The naltrexone Naloxone is only activated when the pill is crushed for potential IV use, otherwise not enough of the naltrexone Naloxone is activated to make you sick. I have taken pain killers within hours of taking my suboxone to try and relieve some of the pain that the suboxone was not taking care of and I didnt get sick.

Opiates are legal, as long as you have a valid prescription. They are considered illegal if you have obtained them without a prescription. The only completely illegal opiate out there is heroin, being as it is never prescribed.

The rules of opiates and suboxone don't count for tramadol because tramadol IS NOT a narcotic! Many people choose to believe it is, and if it works for you as a substitute for your regular opiate medication then go with it, but know it is relieving your opiate addiction only mentally, not physically.
