I wish I knew. I took 5mgs of Methadone 24hrs ago and would like to take Suboxone now, but I would like to avoid precipitated withdrawal. All that being said, I already feel moderate withdrawal symptoms from the Methadone... Maybe it's safe?

It varies from person to person. It's half life (the time it takes it to become half effective) is 24-36 hours. So you can expect it to be finished working in around 48-72 hours. It'll take about 5-10 days to clearly be out of your system.

It depends on your tolerance and how often you take it. If you dont ever take it then effects can last 24 hours and 5mg is a low dose so it should be mild symptoms/affects.
