Press the highlighter and click no fill.
To get highlighter off your skin is the exact same way you'd get marker/pen off your skin by scrubbing with lots of soap and water. : )

Use a little finger nail polish remover on a cotton ball. Turn the cotton often, and change it until the highlighter comes off. After it comes off, apply lotion...it's very drying.

One easy way is to use erasable highlighter. Draw your design with the highlighter, then erase it. It will still fluoresce under UV light. Or if you don't have erasable highlighter, you can use alcohol to "remove" normal highlighter. Obviously the alcohol method doesn't work well with paper, but is great for skin and other surfaces.
