It really depends on who you are, it is basically the same with alcohol. There are many recreational users today you wouldn't expect that even have high positions in society. The biggest issue is mental dependence, marijuana is not physically addictive but using it as self medication for depression, nervousness or social anxiety can cause problems. If you use it to self medicate you may come to find that it is hard in those situations which can cause dependence and can cause irritability and symptoms of with-drawl or moodiness without it. The dependence might cause money issues, and depending on how much you make it could leave you with smaller funds or possibly debt. If the individual works at a strict workplace that tests for marijuana (many only test for 'hard' drugs) and they get caught they could lose their job but that is about it. Daily marijuana use has shown (not sure if statistically significant) a drop in test grades, which may only be relevant to workers in precise situations or students who already have educational issues. It is entirely relative to how responsible the user is and how well they know when to stop.
