I assume you are referring to Prozac Weekly, as this is the typical dose we prescribe for it. The weekly pill only comes in a 90 mg form that I am aware of, and it's usually started about a week after stopping regular Prozac (typically, the weekly form is not prescribed for acute treatment--just long-term treatment, although some physicians may start with it). As with any of the anti-depressants, the main thing we look for is an increase in suicidal thoughts and actions or worsening of the patient's depression. Make sure that if this is happening to immediately seek help. If you have questions about why you were started on the medication at the dose you were, talk to the physician who prescribed it. Hope this helps! Dr. B. REGULAR Prozac is (according to Nursing Drug Handbook) usually started at 20 mg. in the A.M., increased to twice a day, with the maximum being 80 mg./day. Always question your doctor and pharmacist, and ask your pharmacist for a print- out on Prozac. It has tons of information.

Why am I paranoid I am taking Prozac and Strattera?

If taking these two medications makes you paranoid, then you need to communicate that to your doctor so an alternate solution can be reached. You should be open with your doctor about side effects you are having. It could simply be that the meds are new and your body is getting used to them. If it persists after a month or two, you should see your doctor again. It could just be that your dosage is too high.

Is Prozac a depressant stimulant narcotic or hallucinogen?

It is neither - Prozac is an anti-depressant, and shouldn't get you high at all. If you take too many, you will overdose without feeling any different. If you have depression or an anxiety problem and are prescribed to Prozac, taking your regular dosage will affect you, but will probably not affect someone without your illness in the same way.

Is 40 mg of Adderall too high of a dosage to take on the first day?

Depends on your weight and the purpose of it. Generally I would say yes but that is a discussion to have with your doctor.

Is it against the law to prescribe 20 mg?

The dosage for any medicine that too 20 mg is quite high. If the doctor prescribes a dosage of 20 mg then the patient should be under strict observation and the doctor must know the repurcussions of the medicine.

Can you take multiple antihistamines at the same time?

OTC antihistamines, especially ones that say "non-drowsy," are pretty safe. They can have side effects, but these usually only appear with older adults. As for "too much" I would guess an unusually high dosage would be too much--technically, anything higher than the dosage the bottle recommends is too much.

What happens if you take Prozac and reductil at the same time?

I've just been prescribed Reductil and the doctor made it extremely clear that you cannot take Prozac and Reductil at the same time. In fact you have to be at least two weeks clean of Prozac before starting Reductil. The pharmacist who filled my prescription too was very clear about not mixing the two types of medication. If in doubt yourself - take proper medical advice, face to face. Don't risk it!

Would you die if you take high dosage of sleeping pills?

Probably. Extremely high doses could cause your body to shut down to get rid of the high amounts of the drug in your system. You can die from consuming too much of pretty much anything.
