Basically all trazodone is, is an antidepresant it is distinct from other tricyclic antidepressants, it is mainly used as an adjuct with other ssri antidepressant. It is also widely used for its prominent side effect which is sedation. but to answer your question again no trazodone in NOT a maoi.

Prozac is the trade name for fluoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Others in this group include paroxetine (Seroxat), citalopram (Cipromil) and escitalopram (Cipralex).

This class of drugs works by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin back into the neurons, thus increasing the serotonin levels in the synapse. This in turn attenuates the number of serotonin receptors, which is believed to mediate the anti-depressant effects of SSRIs.
