Yes, Endone and oxycodone refer to the same active ingredient, which is oxycodone hydrochloride, but they are different in terms of branding. Endone is a specific brand name for a formulation of oxycodone used primarily for pain relief. It is important to note that while the active ingredient is the same, different formulations may vary in dosage, release mechanism, and additional inactive ingredients. Always follow medical advice when using these medications.
Ms contin Oxycontin Oxydone Endone Kapanol Actually, MS Contin and Kapanol are the only oral drugs that are listed above that contain morphine. MS Contin and Kapanol are time-release versions. Another time-release version is Kadian. The other common oral drug that contains morphine is MS IR, which is the immediate-release version. Morphine is more commonly given in intravenious form, especially in a hospital setting, especially in a time-drip release form. But the other drugs listed above do NOT contain morphine. OxyContin, Oxydone, Endone and another drug, OxyIR contain oxycodone, not morphine. Oxycodone is considerably more potent than morphine, in a dose-for-dose comparison. Percodan and Percocet contain a low-dose amount of oxycodone combined with aspirin or paracetamol (acetaminophen), respectively.
I downed 50 & woke up in hospital
Endone, which contains oxycodone, is typically not recommended to be crushed. Crushing the medication can alter its release properties and increase the risk of overdose, especially if it is an extended-release formulation. Always consult a healthcare professional or pharmacist for guidance on how to take any medication safely.
