Yes, this is normal.

That is a fairly normal state for the human brain during waking hours.
I had a general anesthetic last Thursday, for an endometrial ablation. I was 'under' for approximately 30 minutes, before waking up. It is now Monday, and I have persistent nausea. Sometimes so severe, that it takes me to the edge of vomiting, but I have not vomited. I also have NO appetite whatsoever. I also had the worst headache I have ever had, during last night, that woke me up. (Sunday). One advil took it away, however, so that was short lived at least! I don't know if these side effects are normal after 3-4 days after having a general anesthetic or not, but that's what I am experiencing. Anyone else want to weigh in?
Getting hot after naps can result from several factors, including the body's natural temperature regulation processes. During sleep, your metabolism may slow down, and upon waking, the body works to return to its normal state, which can cause a temporary rise in body temperature. Additionally, the environment—like bedding or room temperature—can contribute to feeling warm. Hormonal changes and increased blood flow upon waking can also play a role in this sensation.
Only if you swallowed your pillow while sleeping.
Mental activities that differ noticeably from normal waking consciousness include dreaming, meditation, and altered states induced by substances or hypnosis. These states often involve changes in perception, cognition, and awareness, leading to experiences that can be distinct and sometimes profound.
Perfectly normal.
REM is a stage of sleep, characterized by rapid eye movements, that occurs when we are dreaming. In that sense it is an altered state, although perfectly normal.
yes & no. Alcohol is an anesthetic, thus an alcoholic stupor is closer to a coma than sleep. Also chronic alcohol use leads to brain damage which can lead to waking nightmares. But if you drink enough you pass out and dont have to worry :D
