Is it safe to take Tylenol pm and Tylenol together?

I did it last night and woke up A LOT with kind of panic attacks. I guess the claratin was trying to wake me up and fighting with the tylenol pm. Very strange. They went away in about an hour.

I believe Dayquil has the nasal decongestant phenylepherine in it (please check the ingredients!) It may even have an antihistimine in it also. You CAN NOT double-up on antihistimines or decongestants. You can always ask your pharmacist which medication would help your symptoms better and they are usually the best people to ask about these medication interactions.

Yes it is safe to take these two drugs together. Think of them as the same. If the bottle says take do not exceed, for example, 4 pills in 24 hours. That does not mean you can take 4 Tylenol PM and then an extra 2 regular Tylenol. You could do 3 PM's and 1 regular or 2 of each.

They are essentially the same thing except Tylenol has the addition of a sleep aid, diphenhydramine HCl.
