I think the frequency of g.i. bleeds is higher with this drug than its counter parts. Mobic (meloxicam) is a chemical cousin that has similar efficasy to Piroxicam, but is safer to use. Theres a drug called lornoxicam that I think is available in Great Britain and is stronger than the other oxicams. When and if it hits the states is another question
