it is impossible to fail for meth unless you are using the drug. Even if a few crystals were transfered in saliva it would still not be enough to show up. So there are one of two reasons. 1.) you are using meth. 2.) you are taking cold medicine or some other psyeudoephedrine/ephedrine containing medication. There are medications that have this chemical, but it does not make you high as meth does. Ephedrine is synthesized into meth, therefore it is the substance a drug test will test for.
