Stay as absolutely far away from this relationship as possible. A meth user has one friend. and only one friend. METH. That's it, end of this conversation.
<<< This person is thinking of crystal meth (meth is the short form of crystal meth)which is completely different from methadone. Your friend may be on methadone maintenace or may be on it for pain...... I would find out more information on if they are abusing or if they are prescribed before jumping to conclusions.
Um, not end of conversation!...Methadone is NOT Meth. Completely different thing. I think it would depend on how heavy a user the person is? Methadone is a very addictive drug so if it's being used on a daily basis your significant other is probably addicted and will need help to detox. Being in a long-distance relationship with the person, unless you KNOW they are willing and desirous to get off the drug, is probably a just cause for heartache. If it is only being used occasionally, say once or twice a week at most, then there probably isn't anything to worry about.
um id like to add if he or she is taking methadone for chronic pain then I wouldn't worry anything about the methadone but you should worry about if you can handle taking care of someone that has chronic pain as I have fibromyalgia and its horrible without my methadone I wouldn't be able to even get out of bed I do not get a buzz off of it and never have I have been on it for over 6+ months and have been on tons of other prescription drugs to help with my pain so it all depends on why this person is taking the methadone if its for fun then I wouldn't waste my time with them but of course that's just imho.
NONE!
Yes!
Excellent chioce, if you want your life back.
Nothing really. Actually it's pretty pointless. You couldn't lace enough marijuana with methadone to really feel the effects of methadone anyway. You may get a slight opiate buzz, but other than that, nothing much. I mean u would need about 20mg's of methadone to really feel anything and if you put 20mg's of methadone in a joint or blunt of marijuana, you would basically be smoking methadone laced with marijuana LOL, thats how much methadone there would be. (20 mg's of methadone is alot of powder) And if it is dipped in liquid methadone, than it would be the same thing, there just wouldn't be enough methadone absorption to make a significant difference.
Unfortunately, < Methadone > registers as an opiate, It will show A DIRTY result. THE one giving the drug test should be made aware of Methadone use. Because the nature of Methadone use is that it is prescribed to bring a Heroin user to safely Kick or stop using Heroin. For if the user is to stop abruptly, it more than likely cause a fatality the cannot handle the abruptiveness. Of course the shock and pain is quite strong.
NO.....I am mdone and know for a fact no methdone use will not show as cocaine
Not only dogs but Methadone has the nasty side-effect of making any user to occasionally forget to breath. That is why people who have been prescribed this drug have to be on a breathing alarm.
Yes it is. Methadone is often sold to people other than the user. So it is 100% necessary to include methadone on the list of drugs they test for to make sure that you are taking it. Giving methadone to somebody else can easily kill them. Your dose is designed for you, what is OK for you could kill somebody else. And if that should happen, you would be charged. You would be responsible for that. I am on methadone and they test us for it. METHADONE IS AUTOMATICALLY TESTED AT METHADONE CLINICS ALONG WITH OPIATES, BENZODIAZEPAM, COCAINE, ECT.
Life insurance companies may consider a methadone user as a higher risk, potentially leading to higher premiums or denial of coverage. However, many insurers evaluate applications on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the individual's overall health, the reason for methadone use (e.g., opioid addiction treatment), and their current stability. It's advisable for individuals in this situation to disclose their methadone use and consult with an insurance agent for tailored guidance.
user liaison handles the need of user n user system relationship
It wouldn't, unless methadone was one of the drugs being abused/used and was still in the person's system at the time of the urine test. It takes some time for methadone to be "flushed" out of a user's system due to its very long half life.
Your an advocate for methadone use. I don't know of any positive medicinal methadone use so what do you advocate. Why not just say your a drug addict, that is what a user is called. That is what your worried about telling him, isn't it. Why not be your own best advocate and get some help to get off methadone and stay clean so you can have a TRUE friendship with this fellow. ==================================================== It all depends why your using it. Most have good reasons for using it. Like Fibromyalgia, Lupus, chronic pain, or using it to keep the withdrawals at bay from using heroin or morphine. Yes, methadone is addictive no matter what way you use it. If you feel the need to tell him because the relationship is changing into something more, Just be honest and explain to him why you are using it.
