What I am about to share is anecdotal in nature but there seems to be a good chance that it was caused by the DPT shot. I am a 54 year old male and recently had a tetanus vaccine. It included diptheria and pertussis. About 2 days after the vaccination I began to get sick with what I thought was a cold. It never got severe but did develop beyond any cold I had ever had. I have never had the flu but from what I have always heard I ruled that out. Eventually, I began to think that perhaps it was the H1N1 flu since symptoms in adults my age are often mild compared to most flu strains. My sickness lasted a month, never extreme but weakness persisted along with common cold symptoms. In the early stages I had a slight fever for a few days. I have never had anything even close to this. I talked with my doctor today and he said it is possible this was from the DPT shot. No one else in my household or at my workplace has had any symptoms.
