One way is using ice water extraction, you have bags with varying size micron screens in the bottom stacked in on each other, the largest size bag on top and smallest on bottom, then you place the leaf and ice water in the top bag and mix for about 20 minutes and then pull each bag out one at a time and you get different grades of hash.
Another way is using a type of solvent iel alcohol, butane , which is not recommended, very unsafe and if not using pure solvent can leave residual chemicals in the hash.
The easiest way would be to have a piece of stretched silk screen, and just lightly rub or shake your leaves on top of that and all of your trichomes(thc crystals) will fall through and you can collect them, at this point in a powder called kief, and smoke it like that or press into hash.
