Anything you can possibly think of when in comes to treating trauma. Wraps, tourniquets, slings for fractured arms, head wounds, ect. I have even used them to restrain combative patients to my gurney. They are my favorite tool in the box.
A triangular bandage is used as an arm sling. Or it can be used as a pad to control bleeding.

The knot on a triangular bandage is typically tied at the apex of the triangle, which is the point opposite the base. This knot secures the bandage in place when used to create a sling or to wrap around an injured area. In some applications, the knot may also be positioned at the base or along the edges, depending on the specific use and the desired support for the injury.
