a false test can be from a cold medicine. you have no idea how pseudoephedrine is so close to illegal drugs.
adderall
Adderall shows up as amphetamine--it's not a false positive because Adderall is made out of amphetamine.
yes, may show positive because of the pseudoephedrine in it. Have the prescription ready to hand and let collector know beforehand .
will buspirone cause a false positive for benzodiazipies
False positive for methadone
Adderall will cause one to test positive for amphetamines in a drug screen.
If no illegal drugs were used then its a false positive. Some prescription meds have amphetamine i.e. adderall. If you aren't on any ADHD meds then it is most likely from the otc sinus meds, and/or acid reducers ranitidine zantac can/probably will cause a urine test to show positive also.
No, folliculitis will note cause a false positive HSV2 result.
Even if sent to a lab, it shouldn't show up as meth at all. The tests are broken down and they will look for the poisons that are used in meth. I have talked to drug counselors regarding this very thing and was assured this fact. Good luck. I would stop using the Sudafed if you are worried about it.
can percocet cause a false positive for pcp
Sure can. Adderall is an amphetamine. Added 9.24.10: Not necessarily. I was curious about this myself ( I work in a drug treatment program) and tested my own urine. I've been on Adderall for a while now and take it as prescribed, fearful that it would show up positive. The test strips we have test for methamphetamine, and when i tested myself, i came up negative. Adderall is an amphetamine, but it has a different chemical structure. But, this may not be true for all drug tests.
about 8 hours after taking adderall i took an over the counter drug test that tested for methamphetamine and it was negative. also the pharmacist told me before buying it that adderall would not show up as meth. but then again i did come up with a false positive for meth once after taking ephedrine, which is the base chemical for making meth, so i suppose it would depend on the dose, the sensitivity of the test and the persons metabolism. most likely not, but there is always a small possibility.
